Christ Lutheran Church, Dallastown, Pa., voted March 28 by a margin of 112-5 to withdraw from the ELCA and join the LCMC.

QUESTIONS RAISED AS TO WHY THE ELCA IS NOT COMING TO AID OF THOSE IMPACTED BY FAILURE OF AUGSBURG PUBLISHING'S PENSION PLAN

The publishing arm of the ELCA, Augsburg Fortress recently sent out a letter to hundreds of its retirees and employees stating that their retirement benefits will end March 1, 2010. Leonard Flachman wrote an article published in The Lutheran recently asking where is the ELCA when this disaster is taking place in the lives of so many of its present and former workers.

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (USA) BLAMES ISRAEL

The Presbyterian Church (USA) continues its anti-Israel campaign, charging the Jewish nation with responsibility for the Palestinian uprising. HISTORIC REBUILT HURVA SYNAGOGUE TO BE DEDICATED TODAY

The third reconstructed Hurva Synagogue stands today in the center of Jerusalem's Jewish Quarter as a testimony to the Jews' commitment to their land and sacred heritage. The Hurva Synagogue was last destroyed by Jordan immediately after their conquest of the Old City in 1948.
