Beaver Valley Lutheran Church, Rural Valley Springs, SD has struggled without success over the issue of leaving the ELCA. Now a significant number of Beaver Valley Lutheran Church have left to start a new congregation. Their first service was held May 13, with 130 people in attendance.
The Lutheran Church of Mahomet, IL failed to pass its second vote to leave the ELCA May 20 by only three votes, 119 required to leave, in favor of leaving 116.
Central Lutheran Church, Morton, WA passed second vote to leave ELCA May 20 with only 2 nays.
Voted to join LCMC.
