August 10, 2012 will be Minnesota Atheists Night at St. Paul Ball Park. The St. Paul Saints have even agreed to change their name by dropping the "S" and making the minor league MR AINTS for the occasion.
Dayn Perry writes: "To kick off the evening, Dave Silverman, president of American Atheists, will toss out the ceremonial first pitch. Should he throw a perfect strike, he will presumably not be thanking God afterward. Once the game is completed, all in attendance will be at least nine innings closer to the abyss that awaits us on the other side."
Hopefully a lot of Twin Cities folks will be singing "Don't Take Me Out to the Ball Game!"
