UPDATES OCTOBER 3, 2012

1. On Saturday September 8, 2012, the Southwestern Texas Synod Council (ELCA) voted to remove First English Evangelical Lutheran Church from the roster of the ELCA. The congregation has joined the NALC and LCMC.

2. Good Hope Lutheran Church, Boardman, OH (Youngstown) passed their second vote to leave the ELCA September 23, 2012 and join the NALC.

3. A congregation in South Carolina is scheduled to take first vote (second attempt) to leave the ELCA soon. We'll keep you updated when results are reported.

4. As of September 25, the NALC has 334 congregations. The LCMC has 797 congregations.

5. St. Peter Lutheran Church-Walburg, Georgetown, TX passed second vote to leave the ELCA September 16, 2012 and to join the LCMC.
