UPDATE NOVEMBER 11, 2012

First English Lutheran Church, (755 baptized memers), Lennox, SD passed their first vote to leave the ELCA and join the NALC (92%). Second vote will take place early 2013.

West Prairie Lutheran Church, Leland, IA held its second vote this morning, November 11, 2012, to leave the ELCA. Votes in favor 50, votes against 7. The voted to join LCMC.

St. Timothy Lutheran Church, (800 baptized members) Goose Creek, SC passed their first vote to leave the ELCA (74%). Second vote will take place January 6, 2013.

  1. I used to attend St. Timothy in Goose Creek, SC, many years ago, but left after they allowed a bitterly partisan presentation against President Reagan following a service. Hopefully in the years since then, the congregation has realized the error of allowing that sort of activity within the sanctuary.

    A vote to stand for the Inerrancy of Holy Scripture would be a great positive step.
