ZION LUTHERAN, CLEAR LAKE, IOWA VOTES TO LEAVE ELCA 85%

Zion Lutheran Church, at a special meeting November 10, 2010, voted by an 85% margin to withdraw from the ELCA, 340-59. The church secretary Beth Ann Schumacher stated this was Zion's final vote. They are finished with the ELCA. Bishop Steven Ullestad said this vote does not count. Recently Bishop Ullestad expelled Zion's two pastors from the ELCA clergy roster. Stay tuned!
