NEW CONGREGATION BEING FORMED IN CENTRAL PA, ILLINOIS AND SOUTH CAROLINA

Seventy members from Concordia ELC in Columbia, PA have left that congregation
and started Reformation Lutheran Church. Eighty-two people were present for
their first worship service March 27, 2011 in a funeral home just north of
Lancaster, PA. On April 10 a congregational meeting will be held to adopt a
budget, call the Rev. David L. Hefner, and join NALC.

Christ the King Lutheran Church (NALC) is meeting at De Soto Village Hall, 210 W. Lincoln St., De Soto, IL. Worship at 6:00 pm. Preston Foster, pastor. Phone: (618) 521-2109 for more information.

A new congregation has been formed in Sumter, South Carolina, after a failed vote to eleave the ELCA at St. James Lutheran Church, Sumter. IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH OF SUMTER is meeting at The Christian Golfer's Association building in Sumter. They have not yet decided which Lutheran body they will join. Thus, they have pastors serving them now from WELS, LC-MS, NALC and the LCMC.
