GOD'S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT
Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Charles Spurgeon, the great English preacher, once illustrated this verse by comparing our personal concern for God's care and provision to a little fish in a big river, that was afraid the river would dry up before his thirst would be satisfied. Herb Franz, another great preacher, often inquired: "Are you living under the spout where the glory comes out?" Whatever your need today, be it forgiveness, healing, strength or supply, know for certain God's grace is sufficient to cover it all. Approach your Father's throne boldly!
Lord, forgive me for failing to trust in the sufficiency of your grace. Grant that I may drink deeply from the fountain of grace and trust you completely for my every need, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
